Kronos drop McRae for Australia

The Kronos Citroen team have dropped Colin McRae for Rally Australia in favour of their Spanish drivers Xevi Pons and Dani Sordo.
Sebastien Loeb's broken arm has not yet healed enough for him to return to action, meaning that Kronos will have to continue their battle for the manufacturers' championship without him at the next event.
WRC teams can only nominate two drivers to be eligible to score points for the manufacturers' championship, and replaced Pons with Sordo from Rally Germany earlier this year.
But while Loeb's replacement McRae struggled on his return to WRC action last weekend in Turkey, Pons showed a return to form and finished fourth. As rivals Ford took a 1-2 in Turkey, they moved ahead of the Citroen team, who only scored two points with Sordo.
After getting used to the car, McRae had been hoping to get a second outing in the championship-winning Xsara, especially after running so well in Australia last year with Skoda.
