SEAT TESTED IN VALENCIA
The WTCC reigning champion team, SEAT Sport, completed a two-day test at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit on Monday and Tuesday.
Four out of the team's five drivers attended the test, only Tiago Monteiro was missing. The reigning champion Yvan Muller, his runner up Gabriele Tarquini and their team mates Jordi Gené and Rickard Rydell took stints at the wheel of two SEAT León TDI cars; these were 2008 machines updated to 2009 specifications.
During the two days the team focused on the car's general set-up under the new set of technical regulations.
Jaime Puig, SEAT Sport director, explained: "We have worked in Valencia with the aim to adapt our cars to the new regulations adopted for the 2009 season. Currently one of our main objectives is to ensure the car's maximum reliability."
SEAT Sport will test again on February 11th and 12th at Barcelona's Catalunya Circuit.
